Myers, which sad event took place at his residence, North Brighton, on 2nd January. Mr. Myers was a very old colonist, and occupied for many years a high position both in commercial and social circles. He was of a very charitable disposition, and filled for several years the office of president of the Melbourne Jewish Philanthropic Society. In that capacity he laid the foundation stone of the Jewish Almshouses about nineteen years ago. Of late the deceased was a great sufferer, and altogether unable to follow his usual business vocation. He was 61 years old at the time of his death, and leaves a widow and a large family of sons and daughters.11
