  • 19 Aug 1891: Sydney—A warrant has been issued by the Water Police for the arrest of Charles Herbert Collier, charged with stealing money, the property of Messrs. Thomas Collier & Sons, of 95, York-street. Offender is 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, medium build, fair complexion, and light-brown hair and moustache, little or no whiskers, very prominent nose; an Englisman. He has been living at Pennant Hills, near Parramatta. Lately accountant to above firm. Complainant, John Bradshaw, manager.10
  • 10 Aug 1892: Vide Police Gazette, 1891, page 283. Sydney.—Mr. John Bradshaw, the complainant in the case against Charles Herbert Collier, for whose arrest a warrant was issued by the Water Police Bench for stealing money, the property of Messrs. Thomas Collier & Sons, No. 95, York-street, now desires that the same may not be enforced. The Magistrate who issued the warrant has signified his approval to such course.11
