  • 27 Apr 1901: CLAXTON— LINDEMAN. A wedding was celebrated at All Saints' Church, Woollahra, on Monday, 20th inst., when Miss Agnes Sarah Lindeman, eldest daughter of Commander S. Lindeman, R.N., was married to Mr. Herbert Alexander Claxton, son of the late Mr. Frederick Claxton, of Ballarat, Victoria. The Rev. Wallace Mort, assisted by the Rev. Alfred Yarnold officiated. Mr. H. D. Acland acted as best man, and Miss Muriel Lindeman, was bridesmaid. The bride was dressed in white satin trimmed with duchesse point lace (the gift of Mrs. J. T. Brown) with bridal veil and wreath, and carried a shower bouquet. She also wore a turquoise and pearl ring, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid wore tucked white silk trimmed with chiffon and a black picture hat, and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses. The bridegroom's present was a gold bangle.
