  • 27 Apr 1881: CITY LICENSING BENCH. The following transfers of publicans' licences were granted by Mr. Calf, P.M., at the City Police Court yesterday, viz., Margaret J. Tucker, Cranbourne Hotel, Cranbourne, to Patrick Canley.12
  • 7 Mar 1883: Henry Nurse, of the Cranbourne Hotel, made an application for a temporary license for the race day.—Granted.13
  • 3 Nov 1883: The construction of municipal market yards at Cranbourne is creating great commotion as to the site to be selected. A site from Government, adjoining tbe shire-hall, was some time ago granted. Hitherto the sales have been conducted at Mrs. Tucker's yards, adjoining the Cranbourne hotel. She now offers a free grant of the land, with a donation of £250 to extend the yards. Mr. A. Cameron also offers a free grant of four acres. The Government reserve is considered by many the most suitable, and it is probable that a poll of the ratepayers will be taken prior to a final selection.14
  • 19 Aug 1889: SHARP—DUFF.—On the 1st inst., at the residence of the bride's mother, Fernlea, Cranbourne, by the Rev. A. Duff, M.A. (uncle of the bride), assisted by the Rev. J. B.
